Privacy Policy

This policy explains what happens to your files and your data when you use Green Screen Remover at greenscreenremover.net.

Last updated: 15 September 2026

The short version

What the tool does with your files

When you drop a video or an image onto the tool, the file is read and decoded by your own browser using the Canvas API. The keying, the spill removal and the exports all run on your device. The file is not sent to a server, there is no upload step and there is no render queue.

Because nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored on our side. When you close or reload the tab, the file is gone from the page. If you download a result, it is saved by your browser to the location you choose, on your own machine.

A practical consequence worth knowing: the tool keeps working if you go offline after the page has loaded. That is the honest test of whether the processing really is local.

What we do not collect

Cookies and local storage

The tool itself does not require cookies to work. Any cookies you find on this site come from the advertising described below, not from the keying tool.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking them does not stop the tool from working, because the tool does not depend on them.

Advertising

This site is free to use and is supported by advertising. Ads are delivered by third-party advertising networks rather than by us.

These third-party vendors may use cookies, web beacons or similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this site and to other sites, and to measure how those ads perform. We do not control those cookies and we do not receive the data they collect in a form that identifies you.

You can limit or opt out of personalised advertising:

Opting out does not remove ads; it means the ads you see are less likely to be tailored to your interests. Blocking third-party cookies in your browser also works, and the tool keeps working either way.

Server logs

This site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the technical data needed to deliver a page and to protect against abuse — the IP address the request came from, the browser's user agent, the URL requested and the time of the request. This is ordinary web-server logging. We do not use it to identify individual visitors, and we do not combine it with anything else.

Analytics

This site runs no analytics script of its own. We do not build visitor profiles, and we do not track you across other websites.

Children

This site is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to the address below and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If what this site does with data changes, this page changes with it. The date at the top of the page is the date of the most recent revision.
